Ligon Jones is an insurance agency based out of Hopewell Virginia, with deep roots in the local community.  We built Ligon Jones' original website many years ago, but it was time for a new look.  Their new website features online insurance quote forms, social media integration and a rich content layout.

Andy from Ligon Jones spends a great deal of time and effort giving back to the Hopewell community and is a long time friend of ours.  As always, it was a great pleasure to work with him on this build.

I found this article written by AdHustler, a well known internet marketer in the affiliate space.  Unfortunately, he hit the nail on the head with this post.  We have heard some pretty far fatched "facts" when it comes to Search Marketing.  Its a shame to see the smalll business get taken by misinformation. As AdHustler says, these claims are outrageous.

• Everyone showing up on the page pays the same amount per click
• Ads in position 5 get 60% of the clicks
• We are best to manage your campaign because the search engines charge us less per click because we do volume
• We can sell you position 1 for “keyword” for $250/month
• We can host your landing page on our “trusted” domain and that will get you much cheaper clicks
• Most people searching for your keyword will use a geotagged keyword along with what they are looking for ie. “exterminator in San Diego, CA” (Totally not true)
• The more paid search you do the better your website will rank organically
• By having logos on your website like “featured in such and such news source” you will get more & cheaper clicks
• Your cost per click will always be the same
• We manage all of your competitors campaigns so we are obviously the best company to go with

FOLAR is a non-profit organization that takes responsibility for the Lower Appomattox river.  Friends of the Lower Appomattox organize clean ups, kayak races and other events to benefit the body of water.  They are a great organization that takes on a huge responsibility and task.  We were are lucky to have them in our community and it was a pleasure working with them.   If you like to canoe or kayak, FOLAR features miles of perfect waterway just for you.  Their new website designed by Joogleweb features an interactive Google map of the body of water, content and graphic rich informational pages, photo gallery, and online event registration forms.
